Working principle of sand screw feeder

It is composed of external pipe, feed port, discharge port, motor, reducer, universal ball, inspection door, etc. (see the figure for details). The rotating spiral blade will push the material to transport, and the material's own weight and the friction of the spiral conveyor's tank wall on the material, so that the material will not rotate with the spiral conveyor blade. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor is provided with a thrust bearing at the end of the direction of material movement to offset the axial reaction of the material to the screw. When the length is long, the middle hanging bearing should be added.

 

Matters needing attention

Check the direction of rotation should be in the direction shown by the arrow, if not, the motor line is reversed. Make sure that the gear reduction device and the middle bearing are lubricated regularly. Idling the screw conveyor before input material to check whether the operation is smooth. If stable, input material and operate normally. Closing the inlet valve and draining the screw at the end of each working day will extend the life of the screw conveyor if the material being transported will harden and become more viscous after a period of time.
